Our Slip ring motors are made out of the finest quality material and are designed after extensive testing in our state-of-the-art R & D facility. Capable of working under varied RPM, our range of Slip ring motors are already being extensively used. The rotor, which is similar to squirrel cage induction motor, consists of a cylindrical core made up of lamination. Slots in this lamination core hold the coils for three single phase winding, which are placed at 120 electrical degrees apart. The three single-phase rotor windings are connection to slip rings which are mounted or to the rotor shaft. Extension leads from carbon brushes are connected to an external rotor resistance starter.
When three-phase power is applied to the stator winding, a rotating magnetic field is formed. This field travels around the inside of the stator core, as in the case of a squirrel case induction motor.
